SUMMARY:Easy Ties on the Floor for Play & Sex
DESCRIPTION:“Easy ties on the floor” is for you\, if…… you want to use rope for intimacy and connection\, not just technical patterns. \n… you’re curious about building erotic tension\, presence\, and anticipation on the floor. \n… you enjoy creating scenes that grow out of chemistry with your partner rather than fixed choreography. \n… you’re comfortable with basic floor ties and want to make them expressive and playful. \n… you’d rather explore vulnerability\, exposure\, and connection than chase complexity. \nFor whom is this workshop?This workshop is open to couples and practice pairs who are comfortable with basic floor ties and fundamental rope handling\, i.e. single-column tie\, double column tie\, friction and tension. \nNo suspension experience is required. \nBecause many of the exercises explore intimacy\, we strongly recommend attending with a partner with whom you share good chemistry and feel comfortable exploring this kind of interaction. Feeling safe and relaxed\, and being able to communicate openly\, will help you get the most out of the day. \nDescription:Rope is more than structure — it is a language of communication\, intention\, and connection. In this workshop\, we’ll explore how to create playful\, intimate\, and emotionally engaging interactions on the floor\, using rope to build erotic tension and presence without relying on technically demanding patterns. \nThrough guided exercises\, we’ll focus on body positioning\, distance\, rhythm\, pacing\, intentional touch\, and simple yet effective restraint. We will also explore elements of body handling and body manipulation\, offering additional tools for creating fluid and dynamic floor-based interactions. \nRather than chasing complexity\, we’ll explore how practical and simple ties can become powerful tools for creating anticipation\, vulnerability\, exposure\, and genuine connection while remaining responsive to our partner’s reactions.\nParticipants are encouraged not just to repeat the techniques\, but to use them as ingredients to create small\, authentic scenes that reflect their own dynamics\, curiosity\, and chemistry. \nThe goal is to build confidence\, creativity\, and adaptability\, allowing each exchange to evolve naturally from the interaction between partners rather than from predetermined choreography. \nBy the end of the workshop\, participants will have practical tools for creating expressive\, playful\, and emotionally rich floor-based scenes where rope supports the interaction instead of dominating it. \nSchedule11.50 am: doors open \n12-6pm: workshop time including breaks \nExact break times will be set on the day\, depending on the group. \nAbout the instructors:Vik (Victor) and Gala run Shizen Studio in Barcelona\, a creative space dedicated to Japanese rope art. Their teaching centers on shibari as a practice of mindfulness\, connection\, and trust — rope as a way to meet another person with attention and care. We first encountered their work at a performance in Switzerland and were immediately captivated by the presence and intimacy they create with rope. DESCRIPTION:“Playful Semisuspensions” is for you\, if…… you have solid rope fundamentals and want to explore the space between floor and suspension. \n… you’re drawn to movement\, balance\, and dynamic play rather than fixed patterns. \n… you want to understand how small changes in tension\, timing\, and direction transform a tie. \n… you’d rather adapt and combine tools to create your own interactions than follow choreography. \n… you enjoy challenge and play while keeping your partner at the center of the experience. \nFor whom is this workshop?This workshop is accessible to different experience levels\, but you’re expected to have solid rope fundamentals: single-column ties\, double-column ties\, frictions\, counter-tension\, and kannuki. \nIf you attended the Saturday workshop (Easy Ties on the Floor)\, you’re welcome to continue into Sunday. The two days build on each other naturally. \nDescription:Semisuspensions offer a huge playground between floor work and suspension\, allowing us to use tension\, gravity\, movement\, and changing body positions while maintaining a strong connection with our partner. \nIn this workshop\, we’ll explore a series of floor-based exercises incorporating uplines and partial suspension. Rather than focusing on complex patterns or technically demanding sequences\, we’ll use relatively simple structures to discover different ways of playing with our partner’s body\, balance\, movement\, and possibilities. \nWe will explore how small changes in tension\, positioning\, direction\, and timing can completely transform a tie and the experience it creates. We will also work with elements of body handling and body manipulation\, offering additional tools for creating fluid\, dynamic\, and playful interactions between the floor and the ropes. \nThroughout the workshop\, we’ll pay particular attention to our fundamentals and how we approach semisuspensions: rope handling\, line management\, body mechanics\, positioning\, communication\, and awareness of our partner. The aim is not simply to execute the exercises\, but to understand how these tools can be adapted and combined to create our own interactions. \nParticipants will be encouraged to experiment\, play\, and respond to their partner rather than following predetermined choreography.\nThe goal is to discover how simple semisuspensions can open up a wide range of possibilities for movement\, connection\, challenge\, and play while keeping the interaction with our partner at the center of the experience. \nSchedule11.50 am: arrival and open doors \n12-6pm:  workshop including breaks \nExact break times will be set on the day and depend on the group. \nAbout the instructors:Barcelona-based Vik (Victor) and Gala are the founders of Shizen Studio\, where rope becomes a practice of trust\, awareness\, and careful attention to another person.
