From Construction Site to Workshop Space – A Big Undertaking! Slowly but surely, we are making progress.
We, that’s Christian and Jay, founders of Refugium. We are currently working hard to transform the construction site into a place of well-being.
This is what the workshop space looked like before
The premises had previously been a laundromat and a hair salon. This meant there was no shower or kitchen. We wanted to change that – and so the construction site was born.
As you can see in the pictures, this resulted in the usual chaos:

Cleaning up, cleaning a few times (guess how many!) later, and another visit from the window sticker installer… You can already get a sense of the cozy space that is emerging here.
Of course, there’s still a lot missing! But we are proud of how far we’ve come.
Much more will happen by April 9th. That’s when the first workshop, the Lomi Basic Course, begins.
