Shibari Performance – Live Session with Vik & Gala

… you want to witness an authentic shibari exchange between an experienced duo

… you’re curious what’s possible with rope and want a first, vivid impression

… you already have rope experience and love seeing masterful connection in action

… you enjoy sensual, intense art that draws you in and holds you there

… you’d like to round off the workshop weekend with something special, or simply spend an inspiring evening

Vik & Gala describe this evening as a live session, and that’s exactly what it is: not a fixed choreography, but a living exchange that unfolds in the moment. When we, Refugium Founders Jay and Christian, had the chance to watch them perform, we were struck by how deeply connected the two of them are, and by the way Vik ties Gala in constantly shifting variations. A real flow emerges – sensual, intense, and utterly captivating, the kind that pulls you in and doesn’t let go.

This performance is ideal for people who already have some rope experience, but just as wonderful for anyone who can’t quite picture what shibari is and wants to discover what’s possible. You don’t need any prior knowledge, just curiosity and openness.

• 8:30 pm – Welcome and short introduction
• 8:45 pm – Live performance (approx. 45 minutes)
• Afterwards: drinks, lingering, and conversation in a cosy atmosphere

We’ll open the evening with a short welcome and a few words to set the scene, then hand the space over to Vik & Gala. Once the performance ends, you’re warmly invited to stay, enjoy a drink, and talk – with us, with the artists, and with the other guests.

Vik and Gala from Shizen Studio Barcelona are experienced riggers with their own shibari school. In their live sessions, they grant a glimpse into what shibari can be. Ties on the floor, semi-suspensions and full suspensions will flow freely with you as a witness.

On Saturday, Vik and Gala teach “Easy Ties on the Floor for Play and Sex”.

On Sunday, they share their knowledge about “Playful Semi-Suspension”.
